Meta-Connexions is a French SARL based in Toulouse, France. It develops data-centric methods, knowledge models, and analytical tools for complex datasets, atypical observations, and decision-support environments.
We combine research, methodological development, knowledge engineering, and project-based analytical work. Depending on the scope of a project, we may rely on internal staff, long-term collaborators, or external expert contributors.
Presentation
Research, methodological development, and analytical support.
Meta-Connexions is a team dedicated to the analysis of complex, heterogeneous, or poorly characterized data. Its activity combines research, methodological development, knowledge engineering, and applied analytical support.
A common thread across projects is the search for robust structure in sparse, noisy, multidomain, or atypical observations. Depending on the case, the work may involve observational analysis, spatial statistics, anomaly characterization, ontology design, provenance frameworks, human-in-the-loop tools, or theoretical modelling.
The objective is not only to produce tools or results, but to make the underlying reasoning explicit, auditable, and reusable. This orientation favours interpretable models, traceable workflows, and lightweight implementations adapted to real operational constraints.
Meta-Connexions conducts research research activity together with project-based analytical work. Its outputs may take the form of public reports, conference materials, scientific preprints, methodological documents, and domain-specific analytical tools.
Research Areas
A data-centric approach across observational studies, knowledge structures, and explicit analytical models.
Observational Analysis and Anomaly Characterization
Statistical analysis, spatial methods, residual structure detection, weak-signal extraction, and robustness testing for complex or poorly classified observations.
Knowledge Engineering and Traceability
Ontologies, taxonomies, semantic layers, provenance frameworks, entity resolution, and explainable data structures designed to preserve interpretability.
Analytical Tools and Decision Support
Lightweight analytical applications, dashboards, APIs, and human-in-the-loop tools supporting investigation, monitoring, and structured decision-making.
Theoretical and Cross-Disciplinary Research

Scientific Activity
Research together with project-based analytical work.
Methodological Orientation
Meta-Connexions builds or mobilizes project-specific teams to develop data-centric approaches intended to make complex or weakly structured observations analytically tractable. The emphasis is placed on rigor, traceability, interpretability, and methodological clarity.
- Explicit and auditable analytical workflows
- Preference for interpretable models over opaque black boxes
- Robustness testing, cross-checks, and source traceability
- Self-contained tools adapted to constrained environments
Scientific and Institutional Contexts
Its activity combines research, expert missions, and project-based scientific interactions. Depending on the scope of a project, Meta-Connexions may mobilize academic, technical, or institutional expertise to address specific methodological or domain-related questions.

J-C. Escriva
Meta-Connexions brings together two complementary backgrounds rooted in the Toulouse innovation ecosystem, with longstanding ties to aerospace-related environments.
Michaël Vaillant is a computer scientist and independent researcher based in Toulouse, France. Through Meta-Connexions, he develops data-centric methods, knowledge structures, and analytical frameworks for complex or poorly classified phenomena.
Jean-Claude Escriva is an entrepreneur and business development specialist with experience in innovation-driven environments in France and abroad. Over the course of his career, he has worked with both major industrial groups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and has also been involved in startup creation and development. He has particular focus on business development, marketing, and innovation.
